Tree Removal in Bowie, MD

Those shade trees went in with the houses back in the sixties. Sixty years on, some of them need to come out — and we're twenty minutes up Route 50 when they do.

Bowie, MD

Sixty-Year-Old Trees, Twenty Minutes Away

When Levitt built the Belair neighborhoods in the 1960s, the saplings planted along those new streets looked charming next to the ramblers and colonials. Today they're sixty-plus years old, sixty-plus feet tall, and flat-out oversized for their lots — roots lifting walkways, crowns swallowing rooflines, and heavy limbs parked over kitchens and carports. Bowie has one of the most mature suburban canopies in the region, and mature canopies eventually need honest removal work.

Lawncare & Trees Removal LLC crosses the county line for it gladly. We're based in Crownsville, in Anne Arundel County, but Routes 50 and 301 make Bowie one of the easiest trips on our schedule — no long-haul travel fees, no stretched-thin response times. And Bowie's larger suburban yards are a pleasure to work in: room to stage the boom lift, room to drop sections safely, and room to leave the lawn looking better than we found it.

Where the Canopy Meets the County Line

From the original Levitt sections to the newer subdivisions, Bowie's trees have a head start on most of Maryland.

Belair's Levitt-Built Sections

Street trees planted with the houses in the 1960s now dwarf the lots they shade. We dismantle the oversized ones limb by limb without touching the homes beneath.

Shade Canopies Over Ramblers

A single-story roof under a sixty-foot oak has zero margin for a dropped limb. Every cut over a house gets roped, lowered, and landed softly.

Colonials on Established Streets

Taller homes, tighter side yards, decades of growth between them. The boom lift reaches over what a bucket truck can't and keeps ladders off your roof.

Routes 50 & 301 Corridors

The highways that make Bowie an easy commute make it an easy service call — our crew and equipment roll in from Crownsville in about twenty minutes.

Bigger Suburban Yards

Bowie lots give trees room to get truly large. Larger removals mean more wood — we chip, haul, and grind it all in the same visit, not across three appointments.

Storm-Stressed Hardwoods

Sixty-year-old maples and oaks hide decay until a summer storm finds it. If a tree looks off after a blow, we'll assess it fast — we answer 24 hours a day.

What We Do

Everything Outdoors, One Trip Across the Line

Tree removal brings us to Bowie — trimming, stumps, lawns, and landscaping are why the number stays on the fridge.

Why Bowie Homeowners Call Across the County Line

The job that says the most about us involved a 40-foot oak, roughly 80 years old and decaying, pinned in a tight space beside a shed and a fence line. No room to fell it, no margin to swing it — so it came down in careful sections from the boom lift, and the yard was spotless by evening. Bowie's oversized Levitt-era trees present exactly that problem, and that's exactly the work we've built our reputation on.

You'll deal with Jose from the first phone call to the last rake stroke. He's licensed to cut trees in Maryland, he prices every estimate himself — free, with no pressure — and he stays on site running the job instead of leaving it to a rotating crew. That owner-led approach is a big part of why we hold a 5.0 Google rating across 44 reviews.

It also makes us fast and fair on price. One client needed trees cut and trimmed across two different properties; we bundled the work into one deal and started within two days. Most Bowie jobs finish in a single day, debris hauled and stumps ground, so your weekend isn't spent staring at a wood pile where the tree used to be.

Lawncare & Trees Removal (LTR) came to my property and started work promptly. They safely removed a 40-foot oak tree located in a very tight space, which was no easy task. The tree was over 80 years old and in an advanced stage of decay, but LTR had the proper equipment, including a boom lift, to carefully trim it and safely remove the main trunk situated next to shed and fence. The crew was professional, focused, and clearly experienced throughout the entire process. I highly recommend Lawncare & Trees Removal to anyone considering tree work or in immediate need of tree removal.

I hired Lawncare and Trees Removal to cut down several trees and trim a bunch more on my two properties. Jose was very responsive and gave me a very reasonable bundle deal and within two days started the job. His crew did a very thorough and fantastic job. They were professional, polite, respectful, and cleaned all the debris from the yards and sidewalks before they left. And, because they use state of the art equipment, they managed to do the job quickly and safely. I was very satisfied with their work and highly recommend them.

Jose's team did a great job removing a large holly tree that was also inundated throughout with ivy, vines, etc. Martin and his crew then did a great job clearing the underbrush, and grinding up multiple stumps, then raking, seeding and strawing. The photos show what a large footprint that tree had. Grass is now starting to come in. I am very pleased!

Tree Removal Questions in Bowie

We do, every week. Our shop is in Crownsville, and Routes 50 and 301 put Bowie about twenty minutes away — closer than plenty of Anne Arundel addresses we serve. The county line is a mark on a map, not a service boundary. Estimates are free in Bowie just like everywhere else.

They're exactly the kind of tree we bought our boom lift for. Belair's street trees went in when the houses did in the 1960s, and sixty-plus years later many are simply too big for their lots. We've dismantled a 40-foot decaying oak wedged between a shed and a fence — so a Levitt-era maple crowding your rambler is familiar territory.

Usually days, not weeks. One client with tree work across two properties had us cutting within 48 hours of approving the estimate. Jose answers around the clock, quotes fast, and schedules most Bowie removals to finish in a single day — including the cleanup.

Both. We run commercial stump grinders, so the stump goes the same visit the tree does — no waiting on a subcontractor. Brush gets chipped, logs get loaded, and the yard gets raked before we leave. If you'd like the grindings left as mulch for your beds, we're happy to do that too.
