Tree Removal in Severna Park, MD

The oaks and pines that make Severna Park beautiful stand directly over its homes. When one has to go, you want the 5.0-rated crew from right up the road.

Severna Park, MD

When the Canopy Over Your Roof Stops Being Charming

Drive any street off Ritchie Highway and you'll see what makes Severna Park special: white oaks and loblolly pines that stand seventy, eighty, ninety feet tall — most of them older than the houses beneath them. That shade is why people move here. It's also why a hollow trunk, a lightning strike, or one bad Chesapeake storm can turn a beloved tree into the biggest threat on the block. When that happens, the removal has to be engineered, not improvised.

That's the work Lawncare & Trees Removal LLC does every day. We're headquartered in Crownsville, one town over, which puts Round Bay, Olde Severna Park, and Ben Oaks minutes from our door. Owner Jose — licensed to cut trees in Maryland — plans and leads every removal himself, our boom lift handles the trees too tall or too tight to climb safely, and the crew doesn't leave until the last wood chip is off your lawn.

Local Knowledge

Severna Park, Neighborhood by Neighborhood

Between the Severn and the Magothy, every community has its own trees and its own access challenges — we know both.

Round Bay & the Severn Shore

Steep waterfront lots where tall pines lean toward the river. We rig removals uphill, away from docks and bulkheads, and keep equipment off soft shoreline ground.

Olde Severna Park

Established streets with mature hardwoods shading older homes. We take down declining giants in tight sections and prune the healthy ones so they stay that way.

Ben Oaks

Wooded community lots where oaks crowd the property lines. Selective removals here open up light and safety without stripping the lot bare.

The Ritchie Highway Corridor

Homes and businesses along Severna Park's main artery need fast, well-organized work that doesn't tie up driveways or parking for days. We finish most jobs in one.

Along the B&A Trail

Backyards that border the trail come with foot traffic to protect. We control every drop zone and keep debris entirely on your side of the fence.

Magothy River Communities

From creekside cul-de-sacs to open-water lots, Magothy-side trees take the brunt of wind and salt spray. We remove the storm-weakened ones before the next front arrives.

What We Do

One Crew for the Whole Severna Park Yard

Removal gets us in the driveway — trimming, stumps, lawns, and landscaping are why we keep coming back.

Trusted Under Severna Park's Tallest Trees

A ninety-foot pine over a family home is not a job for guesswork. Before a saw starts, Jose has already mapped where every section will land, which way the wood wants to lean, and what needs protecting underneath — the roof, the fence, the kids' playset, the septic field. That planning is why our removals over Severna Park houses look uneventful. Uneventful is exactly the point.

We also finish what a removal starts. One area client had us take out a massive ivy-covered holly, clear the underbrush around it, grind multiple stumps, then rake, seed, and straw the ground so the yard healed over. Another had two big trees removed and the stump grindings turned into mulch for the beds. The tree coming down is step one; a yard you're happy to look at is the actual finish line.

The proof is public: a 5.0 Google rating across 44 reviews, many from this side of the county, and clients who've kept us on their property for seven-plus years. Add same-week scheduling from our Crownsville shop, fair pricing with free written estimates, and a full debris haul-away on every job, and you can see why Severna Park keeps our number saved.

Jose's team did a great job removing a large holly tree that was also inundated throughout with ivy, vines, etc. Martin and his crew then did a great job clearing the underbrush, and grinding up multiple stumps, then raking, seeding and strawing. The photos show what a large footprint that tree had. Grass is now starting to come in. I am very pleased!

Jose and his team are super professional. I got a reasonable quote from him to remove 2 big trees on the side and in the backyard of my house. Him and his team are extremely skillful and quick, they brought the equipment, removed the trees, grinded the stumps, took away the logs and even went the extra mile to use the ground tree stumps as mulch! They cleaned up everything nicely once the job was finished. I will go back to them for future landscaping projects. I appreciate you and your team!

We have used Lawncare & Trees Removal for many years now. Jose and his crew are professional and do great work. They maintain our lawn and help me take care of the garden beds; they always do a fantastic job. Recently they replaced a 6-ft retaining wall for us. It's beautiful. They kept their work area clean, and reseeded the lawn. Highly recommend.

Local FAQ

Tree Removal Questions in Severna Park

Yes, and without wrecking the lawn to do it. We set our boom lift on plywood mats where needed, take the tree apart from the top down, and rope every section away from the roofline. Trees leaning over houses are the majority of our Severna Park work, so the plan is well practiced.

Whatever you'd like. Most Severna Park clients have us grind the stump below grade the same visit — one homeowner even had us reuse the grindings as mulch around the beds. If you want the ground restored, we can rake, seed, and straw the spot so it disappears into the lawn.

It depends on the tree's size, condition, and what's underneath it, so we price every job in person — free, written, and with no obligation. Our reviews consistently mention fair prices, and if you have several trees or want stumps and trimming handled in one visit, ask about a bundle price.

About as local as it gets without a Ritchie Highway address — our shop is in Crownsville, one town over in Anne Arundel County. That's why we can usually get eyes on your tree within a day or two of your call, and why several of our longest-running clients, some going back seven years, are in this area.
